Subscriptions start at $26 per month with an annual plan, and free shipping within the United States.
“At its core, Name Three Shirts is like college radio in shirt form,” said Nate Zurawski, co-founder of Name Three Shirts. “As a music-lover, I know people are always looking for new music and to find their next favorite artist. This gives fans a unique way to discover great music, connect with a band and get a shirt they actually want to wear.”
Name Three Shirts came to life through a blend of family talents. Nate Zurawski grew up and continues to play and write music, while his partner, Blair Tuider, brings experience in project management and influencer marketing. Nate’s sister, Madilyn Zurawski, has spent years crafting clothing and now works in apparel product development, and Madilyn’s partner, Sam Morrisette, illustrated the brand’s mascot. Their mom, Shawn Zurawski, brings experience in public relations and social media. Nate and Madilyn’s younger brother, Nolan Zurawski, is helping master logistics, and their dad, Mark Zurawski, is supporting shipping and fulfillment.
“When we came up with the concept for Name Three Shirts, it honestly felt a little surreal,” said Shawn Zurawski, co-founder of Name Three Shirts. “It brought together every unique talent in our family in a way that just made sense. But more than that, it gave us the chance to build something meaningful together with a purpose we all believe in.”
The Bands and Designers
Launching from Chicago, the brand will first spotlight artists from the city’s vibrant independent music community before expanding to feature bands from other music markets across the country. The first featured bands on the company’s website include Tuff Sudz, Disaster Kid and Growing Boys, with t-shirt designs by Chicago artists Liz Michaels, Samuel Ellenby and Anna Dixon.
-
Tuff Sudz - Noisy, punky and proudly chaotic, Tuff Sudz brings fast songs, loud guitars and a healthy amount of debauchery wherever they go. Inspired by bands like the Ramones, Replacements, Wire and AC/DC, their sound is built for people who want to let loose, have fun and forget their everyday woes even for a minute. Their featured Name Three Shirts t-shirt, designed by Liz Michaels, leans into the band’s punk energy with a bold black-and-white illustrated mascot on a classic black tee.
- Disaster Kid - Disaster Kid blends twangy indie rock, folk and singer-songwriter storytelling with passionate melodies and unexpected lyrical turns which have become synonymous with the Chicago music scene. What began as Seamus Kreitzer’s solo project has grown into a full-band sound that keeps listeners curious. Disaster Kid’s featured Name Three Shirts tee, designed by Samuel Ellenby, pulls out all the earthly critters in a creative name formation that is as distinctive as the band’s style
- Growing Boys - Growing Boys is a friendship-fueled collaboration of Kayla Seeber and Syd Copeland, a duo shaped by their artistry and a love of folk-leaning indie sounds. With an androgynous, coordinated style, their music reflects connection, growth and the creative spark between two artists building something together. Hand illustrated by Chicago artist Anna Dixon, the Growing Boys Name Three Shirts t-shirt reflects the band’s love of growth, nostalgia and folk-leaning indie sounds.
Name Three Shirts makes it easy to give someone more than a t-shirt. With gift subscriptions available, it is a thoughtful gift for music fans who love discovering new bands and supporting independent artists. Each monthly delivery pairs an exclusive artist-designed shirt with three songs from an emerging artist, turning a band t-shirt subscription into a music discovery experience and a collection of independent band merch they will actually want to wear.
